Mabalingwe Nature Reserve
Located just two hours from Johannesburg, Mabalingwe Nature Reserve is sprawled over 12,500 ha close to Bela-Bela at the foot of the majestic Waterberg mountains. This pristine bushveld reserve is home to the Big Five, numerous antelope species and 250 different bird species.
The resort offers self-catering, air conditioned chalets as well as a ladies bar, a bush pub restaurant offering an à la carte menu and a boma. Reception, situated approximately 4km from the main entrance gate, is open 24 hours a day. Please enquire at reception with regard to daily activities. Relax on the patio of your private chalet or take advantage of the outdoor spa bath set in a natural rock setting. Camp Ingwe entertains children aged 4 to 12 every Thursday.

Activities include game drives, night drives, horse trails, bird drives, paintball, lion feeding drives, archery and abseiling. All rates are available at reception.

Reception is open 24 hours every day. The reception area is situated approximately 4km from the main entrance gate.

Resorts are required to check proof of Identity upon check in.
The resort has many steep inclines and some of the units have steep stairs leading to the front door and is therefore not suited for disabled guests.
The resident wildlife are extremely dangerous and should be treated with respect at all times.
The 0/04 sleeper units are for 2 adults and 2 children only!!
Motorbikes are not allowed on the property due to safety concerns as Mabalingwe is a Game Reserve housing the Big 5.
Credit Card details are required on arrival. An inventory list will be placed in the unit on arrival and needs to be checked by guests and handed in to reception within 12 hours of occupation.
** In an attempt to combat fire and loss of units, the resort will be replacing the existing thatch roofs with Harvey tile roofs, which will to a large extend avert the danger posed by veldt fires. We have requested the contractors to be mindful of the needs of guests and trust that this will therefore lead to a minimal discomfort and interference with your stay. **

From O.R. Tambo International Airport:
Take the R21 highway towards Pretoria. Follow the N1 towards Polokwane, this is a toll road with two toll gates, one at the Carousel and the other just after Zambesi. Take the Bela Bela, Settlers, Cordington (Warmbaths) R516 turn off. Turn left on the bridge, and turn right at thye T-junction. Follow the Bela Bela signboards. Cross the railway bridge into Bela Bela (Warmbaths) and immediately turn left into Potgieter Street. Follow Thabazimbi/Rooiberg R516 signs and travel for 27km. The resort is on your right hand side.
